The Dinnington High Street & Market Regeneration project has been made possible thanks to the grant secured from the Conservative government by Alexander Stafford (Rother Valley MP, 2019-24).
After several years of delay, progress is now being made to deliver the regeneration project in Dinnington! 🎉
The burnt-out building on the High Street is finally coming down, with demolition work due to start the week commencing 23rd February . This is a very welcome step forward and a major milestone in the regeneration of the town centre.
This marks the start of visible change for Dinnington High Street, helping to make the area safer, more attractive, and more welcoming for shoppers, visitors, and businesses alike.
Market update:
There are proposals to temporarily relocate the market while redevelopment works take place. Cllr Julz Hall and local town councillors are working closely with local business owners and market traders to make sure their voices are heard, concerns are listened to, and the right solutions are found that work for everyone.
It’s also important to remember that the £12 million Levelling Up Fund investment into Dinnington was secured by Alexander Stafford for Rother Valley, which created this opportunity for regeneration. That said, it’s understandably frustrating for residents, traders, and businesses that progress has been this slow to get started, and many will be relieved to finally see action on the ground.
Let’s hope this is the beginning of real, positive change for Dinnington High Street and our local market. 👍
