NEW ORCHARD LANE IN THURCROFT - DOUBLE YELLOWS UPDATE

Sunday, 19 June, 2022
THURCROFT AND WICKERSLEY SOUTH RMBC COUNCILLORS TOM AND ZACH COLLINGHAM

The public consultation on parking restrictions on New Orchard Lane is now open and will run until 1st July 2022.

We understand that this has been a long wait for residents and that you will be pleased to see it is now progressing.

It is proposed to introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restrictions on the Eastern side of New Orchard Lane and on its junctions with Sycamore Drive, New Orchard Road and Osbert Drive. This is to ensure improved visibility for drivers and keep adjacent footways clear of parked cars. The proposed waiting restrictions are shown on the attached Drawing Number 126/18/TT765a.

Some households have received a letter asking for their comments on the proposals, but this has not been delivered to every household in the area. As your local councillors, we believe that we need all views to best shape the waiting restrictions for residents.

If you have not received a letter from the Council and wish to take part in the consultation, please look at the proposals attached and send your thoughts to marc.hill@rotherham.gov.uk.
